In the Scottish county of Nairnshire, Cawdor Castle is a castle. It is constructed around a tower house that dates to the 15th century, with significant later extensions. It belonged to the Calder family at first, but in the 16th century, it was transferred to the Campbell family.
Low sand dunes and a promenade with an open, grassy connecting area surround Nairn Beach. With breathtaking views of the Moray Firth and Cromarty, Central Beach spans from The Nairn Golf Club in the West End to Fishertown Harbour. Throughout the year, you may see breathtaking sunsets here, and in the winter, the dark sky over the Firth offers even more enchanted views of the Northern Lights.
It’s a family-friendly museum with play areas, archives, and exhibitions on local history.
